_{EDIT: First off, I am surprised by two things.

1.) HOLY CRAP WHAT THE HELL WAS WRONG WITH ME BACK THEN.

2.) This piece somehow got over 1,000 favorites. Never underestimate the power of fan girls/boys. Oh boy.}

Aww, just replaying Final Fantasy VII (Yes I do have a lot of time of my hands

) when this scene came along. Sephiroth all alone in the Shin-ra basement reading up about how he was just a product of the Jenova Project, it’s really heart breaking.

So of course, I went ahead and recreated the scene through my art skills. Though it’s not exactly the way it went in the game.

One for example, a giant black blob of doom didn’t try to swallow Sephiroth in the game. It’s more of a symbolism thing, like this is the starting point where Jenova begins her influence over Sephiroth, in my opinion at least. Hence the title “Dark Influence” You know, Jenova being a dark mass murdering creature and such…yeah...
